The interactive television service Divan.TV got achievements on the OTT market in Ukraine and around the world. They say it is only the beginning.
Divan.TV aims to be the number one for 300 billion of the Ukrainian- and Russian-speaking audience in 200 countries around the world. It works on all devices, including TVs, tablets, smartphones, PCs. As the main achievement during the past period Divan.TV considers reaching the point of financial break even in the 4th quarter of 2014. While revenue growth continues to be 15-20% more per month.
Currently amount of subscribers reaches over 800000 registered users, thus, it has increased by 180% compared to 2013 when there were 250,000 registered users. Revenues also increased by 130% compared to the results of 2013.
According to statistics, the majority of users (over 70%) watch Divan.TV service on Smart.TV. That’s why in 2014 strategic partnership with LG has started (promoting the sale of SmartTV) and the application Divan.TV has run on the Philips TV.
The number of installations on Android and iOS has exceeded 100 thousand. Subscribers use Divan.TV app including 3G technology as well. Therefore, significant increase of users of mobile is expected because of the scheduled for 2015 development of 3G network in Ukraine.
Divan.TV also launched a new interface (version 2.0.) on Samsung SmartTV, LG, Philips and media players (Duna, iNext, AURA).
“As for our plans for 2015,” commented Arkadiy Kanyuka, recently appointed Executive Director of Divan.TV. “We are going to expand globally with a focus on the Ukrainian- and Russian-speaking audience outside of Ukraine. If previously Divan.TV existed as an app on mobile devices and on the Internet, in the near future access to the channels and the video library will be open on Smart.TV STB and media players”.
DIVAN.TV is an international interactive television service on all kind of screens: SmartTV, tablet, smartphone, STB and computer. The service is available without contracts and additional equipment in 200 countries. To get access to the service you need Internet connection, wired or wireless Wi-Fi. Transmitting technology is also adapted to 3G mobile networks.
