The USA removed Ukraine from the list of states referred to the greatest world’s violators of the intellectual property law.
According to Special 301 Report, the annual US research, conducted since May of the past year, Ukraine lost its position in the list of PFC (Priority Foreign Country) as the priority intellectual property law violator, and was placed to the Priority Watch List.
We shall recall that Ukraine became a priority piracy country in early May 2013. This status is assigned to the states that do not adopt adequate legislative changes designed to copyright protection.
In November of the past year the State Intellectual Property Service made a number of changes in the public authorities, drafted laws aimed at protecting copyright and collective rights on the Internet, what improved the efficiency of fighting against piracy in Ukraine and levelled it up in the US Trade Representative’s eyes, publishing the Special 301 Report.
