Following the results of analysis carried out by J’son & Partners Consulting, the Russian pay-TV is a leader among other European countries in involving subscribers, gaining 37.6 million of households (HH).

For the analogy, in Germany there are 22.8 million of HH and in the UK there are16.1 million of HH.

The J’son & Partners Consulting’s analysts suggest that the number of pay-TV subscribers would go on growing, reaching 45.2 million of HH over 4 years (penetration by 81%). Just in the past year its market volume constituted RUR 66.5 billion, which featured the best results in terms of revenue, i.e. RUR 32.5 billion.

The aggregate income of satellite and IP television in the past year amounted RUR22.5 billion and RUR 11.4 billion, respectively. The wireless TV also increased in number of subscribers up to 51.2%. While the cable connections decreased by 2.6%.

Tricolor TV, Rostelecom, ER-Telecom and Orion Express became the largest pay-TV operators of the Russian Federation in 2014.
