Yuri Artemenko, the chairman of the National Council for TV and radio broadcasting regulation, informed that a statement on postponing digital TV implementation in Ukraine had been preparing for the time being.
He pointed out that the state wasn’t prepared for transiting because of incomplete coverage and due to the lack of providing receivers to low-income families.
We shall recall that, in terms of the Geneva Conventions Ukraine is required to complete the transition to the digital TV on June 17 of present year.
As Mediasat also reported before, on May 15 Belarus cut off the analogue TV.
