Dmitry Mednikov, Deputy CEO of VGTRK reported yesterday to Vedomosti  that the Russian children’s channel Mult would broadcast in the South America and Spanish-speaking countries.

The content of the children’s broadcaster will be translated into Spanish and Portuguese.
We shall recall that the children’s channel Mult was launched in May 2014 in pay-TV networks. And in April of this year it joined the pull of broadcasters of Tricolor TV operator.
It also has been worked on translating content of the Russian educational and entertaining channel IQ HD, which was specially designed for people in the South America. According to Sergey Koshlyakov, the Company’s Executive Director, in order to complete the channel’s entry to foreign markets it is necessary to finish translating 2000 hours of programs, broadcasts, cartoons and serials.
At the moment, the management of TV channels can’t estimate the real costs of bringing broadcasters to foreign markets, due to the lack of drawing up formal contracts with foreign distributors.
