GoPro cameras along with their SD-cards sent to SpaceX, remained fully intact even despite of their too long staying in the water.

A unique video of the Falcon 9 rocket front component’s falling, filmed by GoPro, has been recently presented by SpaceX Company. Kevin Eichelberger, US businessman, accidentally discovered GoPro attached to a ruined building. The rocket wreckage and mini camera were found in the sea at the coast of the Abaco Islands between Cuba and Florida.

According to the edition Lenta.ru, referring to Space News, Falcon 9 wreckage was brought out to the coast of a small island called Elbow Cay in late May of present year. Thanks to the phone calls the island’s inhabitants, as well as to the businessman’s tweets, the news came up to SpaceX. Elon Musk, Company’s founder, expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to test another application of fairings. It is worth noting that GoPro cameras, like their memory cards, remained fully intact, despite of their many day-long staying underwater.

Falcon 9 Rocket is used to be launched from the Space Center, located on the Cape Canaveral (Florida), as well as from Vandenberg US Air Force Base, located in California. Such a launch will cost near USD 60 million. SpaceX has been actually finalizing its work on a heavy model of this rocket (Falcon Heavy). The same carriers of Falcon range can be launched from various platforms, even the floating ones.
