As the edition Chempionat (Championship) informs, citing its sources, the sports TV channels, owned by the All-Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company (VGTRK), will become parties to the affiliate transaction with Gazprom-Media Corporation. These are channels like Fight Club, Sport 1, Sport 1 HD and Sport.
In its turn the edition R-Sport announced the intention of Gazprom-Media Holding to redeem the sports channels of VGTRK.
The agreement was reached in order to create a Russian nationwide sports TV channel, scheduled to be launched in early September of the present year. It is expected that the new channel will use broadcast frequencies of the federal TV channel Russia 2. The information content of the new channel will be in charge of the editorial staff, applying the resources of ANO Sports Broadcasting, Russia 2 and NTV-Plus.
