A channel on agriculture will start broadcasting in Moldova

The new TV channel Agro TV Moldova will start broadcasting pretty soon. The channel obtained the required license from the Coordination Board for Radio and Television (CBRT) on July 10, during the regulatory authority’s meeting, as IPN informs.

The initiators of this TV channel want to make the people of Moldova know the situation in the agricultural sector. During the debut year the channel’s airtime is scheduled to broadcast six telecasts, filmed by Agro TV Moldova itself. The rest of the content will consist of programs by Agro TV România, which are relevant for the audience in Moldova. Next, the TV channel’s owners intend to show up to twenty own products.
Nicolae Damaschin, a member of the Coordination Board, pointed out that the existence of own thematic channel dedicated to agriculture in the Republic was very important for the country, as it would enable residents to get acquainted with the projects of international level in certain sector.
Mariana Onceanu-Hadirca stressed that the society needed a channel of that nature, as it was that niche still not really occupied in the Republic.
Christine Mitu, another member of the Coordination Board, described the project as courageous and long-awaited in the national market of Moldova, pointing out the demand of the people employed in agricultural sector for receiving useful information through a niche TV channel. Enumerating positive aspects, first of all she marked broadcasting in Romanian, which would make the TV product more public.
