The largest TV Holdings of Russia found themselves at a loss.

According to Vedomosti, the revenues of the state-owned Media Holding of Russia VGTRK increased up to RUR 31.9 billion last year. But at the same time, the company’s losses also increased, amounting to RUR 52.9 billion.
According to Interfax, cited by the edition, VGTRK has not brought a tangible income since 2000. For example, in 2013 the profit of the state-owned holding was RUR 29 million, while its losses amounted to RUR 2.8 billion.
The other two large TV holdings of Russia can not boast of much success as well. The Gazprom-Media ended last year with loosing RUR 2 billion, but it gained revenues of RUR 72 billion (it is associated with acquiring Profmedia). The Channel One has a slight change for the better, i.e. it increased revenues up to RUR 30.1 billion and reduced losses from RUR 1.77 billion to RUR 938.4 million.
