OLL.TV, incorporated in the Media Group Ukraine and one of the largest digital interactive TV providers, announced the launch of a large-scale OTT product. This is stated in a press release, a copy of which is available to Mediasat.
A year ago, after obtaining an IPTV license valid for the entire country, the company comfortably occupied the IPTV and OTT TV niche together with the main providers of Ukraine like Ukrtelecom, Freenet, Datagroup, Vega, etc.
In August of present year the company anticipates to launch a new service for direct sales to subscribers outside the operator’s network.
This service gathers the best TV channels in Ukraine and the world, sorted into individual packages by category: packages with music channels, football, men’s, children’s, moviegoers, educational channels and many others, i.e a total of over hundred of them. The subscribers are also offered a video library with a variety of movies, cartoons, TV programs, music videos of popular music performers, over 100 radio stations, as well as a unique online broadcasting service for football fans.
George Barzashvili, CEO at OLL.TV, pointes out that from now on the provider will start operating in absolutely all Internet access networks, any premises and any region. The connection will be as fast as possible without any contract, i.e. subscribers are just required to register on the provider’s web page, and then enable this service right in front of home PC.
The CEO stresses that the service will suit the owners of smart TV-sets Samsung, LG, etc. In case of lacking such a Tv-set, it is possible to buy a special set-top box from provider, so that every TV-set would go into the smart category.
OLL.TV also offers users a number of updated applications, i.e. the access to any video content will be provided from anywhere, including from the recently spread 3G-networks.
Barzashvili notes that the main challenge for the provider was to set attractive prices for subscribers, and the company did it.
