Cable TV services are getting more expensive in Azerbaijan

The Company KATV1, provider of cable TV services, introduces some changes in forming packages.

As the Company reportes to haqqin.az, on September 1, 2015 the cable television KATV1 will introduce some changes in forming packages of TV channels. New changes provide for incorporating TV channels with multiple language tracks into the basic package, an option of forming an additional package under the requests of subscribers, as well as updating the package of TV channels in HD format.
The basic package will be represented by popular TV channels in the following formats: Entertaining, Movies, Sports. The innovations will enable viewers to watch the most popular TV channels in English, Turkish or Russian. To ensure the high quality of its broadcasts KATV1 is also transiting to HD and receivers of new generation like Smart Box. The subscribers of KATV1, who also enjoy the Company’s Internet services, will be able to watch TV channels with rewinding (ten-day archiving), as stated.
At that, it is pointed out that in view of the above updates the price of the basic package from September, 1 2015 will increase up to AZN 10 (now the basic package of TV channels costs AZN 9). As for the other packages, they will not be affected by price changes.
