On August 20, the National Television and Radio Broadcasting Council approved the decision on granting a satellite broadcasting licence for ten years (via the satellite AMOS-2.3) to LLC HD FASHION. So, a new satellite TV channel about fashion HDFashion & LifeStyle should appear soon in Ukraine. Instead, the satellite TV channel HDFashion suspends broadcasting, as its licence expires in October.
According to the documents submitted by LLC HD FASHION, the owners of the newly created TV channel are Olena Vydaiko (80% of the authorized fund) and Igor Redkin (20% of the authorized fund). The CEO is Anna Movsisyan.
The total broadcasting time is 24 hours a day, the share of programs (telecasts) of own production is 19 hours and 40 minutes per day (82%), the format is entertainment. At the same time it is declared that the minimum time of entertainment programs will be 16 hours a day, erotic programs – 4 hours a day.
During the examination of the licence application, the TV channel’s representatives stated they were going to monetize it by selling advertising and providing paid access to the content.
We shall recall that Ukraine does not have any broadcasting erotic channel, and in May 2015 the market players signed a memorandum intended to settle such a situation.
