The licensed video of the REN TV projects is available in the social network.

The Russian channel REN TV entered into agreement with the VKontakte on legal placing its videos, according to the Kommersant’s publication.
Once broadcasted, the projects will be uploaded to the broadcaster’s web page, and the users will also have available previous broadcasts. Until that time, the TV channel’s content could be watched legally just on its official web site or YouTube. Vladimir Tyulin, the CEO at REN TV, pointed out that the TV channel as the right holder would be actually able to get profit from videos posted in the social network.
The VKontakte has been cooperating with the platform Pladform since the last year. It assists many other right holders in getting profit from pop-up ads in the posted content. The same earning method is applied by broadcasters within the media holdings like VGTRK and CTC Media, the TV channels like Zvesda (Star), Russia Today, Channel One and TVC, as well as the video portal Rutube.
