Azerbaijanian sports channel CBC Sport HD starts satellite broadcasting

According to information released by the Azerkosmos Company, another Azerbaijanian TV channel CBC Sport HD started using the satellite AzerSpace-1 for transmitting its TV signal.

The channel broadcasts 24 hours a day in high definition. It broadcasts various sports events like football, basketball, volleyball, water sports and many others.
We shall point out that the broadcasts of CBC Sport HD can be also available on the Internet via the official YouTube channel.
The first Azerbaijanian communications satellite AzerSpace-1 was launched into orbit on February 9, 2013 from the South America (Kourou Space Center). According to the Azerkosmos Company’s estimates, the income from commercial operation of the satellite should amount to around USD 420 million.
The Joint-Stock Company Azerkosmos was established in 2010. The main objective of its activities is the launch, control and further technical maintenance of telecommunications space vehicles. In this regard, the main task of the company is to put a satellite into the given position, to provide services of TV broadcasting and communications, to address issues relative to the insurance of these services, to arrange collaboration with satellite operators, and to be engaged in scientific and research activities in this field.
Broadcasting parameters: satellite AzerSpace-1 (46°E) frequency 11135 MHz, horizontal polarization, symbol rate 27500 Msymb/s, FEC-5/6, DVB-S/QPSK/MPEG-4/HD.
