The main TV and Radio broadcasting regulatory authority of Ukraine reports, that in the near future the Ukrainian television can become available in the Chinese cable networks and the Ukrainian television channels will be able to set up their bureaus in China. This information was provided to the National Broadcasting Council by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In China, the regulatory function of issuing satellite broadcasting licenses to foreign TV channels belongs to the China Main Department of Mass Media, Radio, Films and TV Broadcasting.
As reported, the Ukrainian representative office in China will take all reasonable steps to assist in arranging Ukrainian TV broadcasting in China.
The National TV and Radio Broadcasting Council at its meeting held on November 5 also reviewed the results of examining the TV channel “Mnogoseriynoe TV” (Multi-episode TV). This monitoring resulted in accepting the decision to remove it from the List of foreign broadcasts that meet the provisions of the European Convention on Transfrontier Television and the Ukrainian law.
As the regulatory authority established before, the children’s TV channels Ducktv and DucktvHD meet the above requirements.
