MEGOGO enables virtual reality

The video service MEGOGO released a new application “MEGOGO VR” for the Android operating system. The next step will be an application for iOS-devices.

According to MEGOGO, this VR-application is an in-house development. It is available to users in all areas of the online cinema’s presence, namely in the CIS, Ukraine, Georgia and the Baltic countries.
The application “MEGOGO VR” offers to the MEGOGO’s subscribers an option of watching 3D-movies in a virtual reality mode and 2D-movies with the cinema participation effect.
To enjoy and check out the VR-application, a user should have an Android-based mobile device and a mask-holder (card-board). However, the MEGOGO specifies that the new product is actually available for mobile devices like Sony Z5 Premium, Samsung Galaxy S6+, Samsung Galaxy S6 edge, Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+, Samsung Note 4, Samsung Note 5. At the same time, the company promises to expand gradually the list of devices supported by their innovation.
It took over a year to design the application “MEGOGO VR”, including time spent on analysing and studying market demand for such services.
Ivan Shestakov, Marketing Director at MEGOGO, voiced his confidence that in the near future the virtual reality technology within the video services will take a strong position by gaining popularity among users.
