Belarus disabled remaining terrestrial analog transmitters.
January 4, the Republic of Belarus switched off the remaining TV transmitters, which operated at radio frequencies 48,5-66 MHz and 76-100 MHz. This is stated on the official resource of the relevant ministry.
We shall recall that on May 15, 2015 the Republic of Belarus switched off all analog transmitters, as required by the agreement “Geneva-2006”. At the same time the government decided not to introduce into the document specified analog frequencies and to disable the analog transmitters after all the others in order that all the country’s residents would manage to acquire equipment for viewing free package of TV programs in digital quality.
Thus, we can surely say that the Belorussian TV is 100% transited to the digital terrestrial broadcasting format.
