The TV channels and radio stations of the National Television Company of Ukraine were transferred to the satellite Amos-2. Such changes were made due to retargeting state-owned, nationwide and regional broadcasters to public broadcasting.

On January 28, corresponding amendments were inserted into the licenses of the TV channels “Culture” (former GTRK “Culture”), “Central Channel” (former CDR TRK), “Tisa 1” and radio channels “Ukrainian radio” (former NRKU) and “Tisa FM” (former Transcarpathian OGTRK).
The signal of four channels of the “Ukrainian Radio” (UR-1, UR-2, UR-3 and “Radio Ukraine International”), as well as the Transcarpathian TV channel “Tisa 1” and the radio station “Tisa FM” was previously available from the satellite Astra 4A. Their telecommunications operator was the subsidiary of the Swedish SES Group “SES Sirius Ukraine”.
The channel “Culture” and the “Central Channel” (Kiev Regional Television) previously broadcasted via the Azerbaijan satellite Azerspace-1. Their communications operator was the state-owned enterprise “Ukrkosmos”.
Now the signal of all the satellite TV and radio channels, under control of the National TV Company of Ukraine, is available from the satellite Amos-2, used for broadcasting until now by the TV channels “UA: Pershiy” and “Persiy Ukraine”. The telecommunications operators became CJSC “MMC–STB” owned by Victor Pinchuk. The channels’ signal can be already received from the new satellite.
