National Broadcasting Council urges Polish channels to come into Ukraine

The National Broadcasting Council addressed its Polish colleagues in the field of TV and radio broadcasting regulation to increase the number of Polish broadcasting channels in Ukraine, as stated on the official web site.

As the National Broadcasting Council points out, it has received multiple requests from Ukraine providers wishing to relay signal of Polish TV channels for the Ukrainian audience. Today, among those there are “TVP Kultura”, “TVP Historia”, “TVP Info” and “TV-Polonia”.
In turn, the National Broadcasting Council emphasized that it would facilitate an early settlement of procedures for incoming requests on entering Polish TV channels in the above list.
We shall recall that the foreign TV channels can broadcast in Ukraine, if they are put on the list of channels that meet the provisions of the European Convention on Transfrontier Television and Ukrainian laws.
It is worth mentioning that at its previous meeting the National Council named unadapted 38 Russian TV channels.
