While some operators announce increase in tariffs, the others give way to its customers, not only by keeping down price for services, but also by adding the new ones that meet different needs.

For example, after the appearance of 3G communications in Ukraine, there appeared a special demand for a “heavy” content like video, music, etc. Since, in fact, the social networks and news resources were available before, the Ukrainian OTT providers like Divan.TV opened long ago the access to movies and TV channels on all devices, including tablets and smartphones. Unfortunately, subscribers were limited in traffic, so mobile operators and TV providers were searching for solutions and options to cooperate. That situation was taken into account by the Kyivstar in drawing up new tariffs, and it signed a partnership agreement to provide unlimited video by Divan.TV.

“Bright and wide-range communication is what makes our life substantive and interesting. Therefore, the Kyivstar has worked out simple and innovative tariffs for subscribers to get the most out of life. Customers wish to watch videos on the go and to feel free to listen to music not calculating megabytes. Our new tariffs fully satisfy these needs”, as Svyatoslav Gorban, Marketing Director of Kyivstar, says.

Today, the most advanced prepaid tariff “Online Extra” incorporates the “Video On The Go” service, making available Divan.TV, Home TV by Kyivstar and others without any traffic restrictions. A subscriber is offered a carte blanche: on the one hand, he may choose a set of channels and video, which is interesting to him, but on the other hand, there is no longer need in monitoring megabits, since there are no traffic restrictions on using the above video services. The “Video On The Go” is also available in most contract tariffs of the Kyivstar.

This step of all the leading mobile operators proves the subscribers’ demand for video on mobile devices using 3G-networks.

Arkadiy Kanyuka, Executive Director at Divan.TV: “Near 30% of our subscribers use mobile devices to watch favorite channels and video. Earlier, they mostly used Wi-Fi connection for that purpose, as the traffic of mobile operators was limited. The Divan.TV negotiated with the country’s leading mobile operators, and we are pleased with managing to bring the joint offer with Kyivstar to market. Soon we will present to the public a cooperation scheme with another mobile operator. The service is as relevant as ever, in the run-up to the May and Easter holidays. Leaving municipal communities, people desire to stay on top of the recent news. The Divan.TV gives such an opportunity: now, staying in the countryside or on vacations, without any additional registrations and payments, having at hand a tablet or smartphone, one may log in with the service and view the latest releases of TV shows and news on favorite channels. Not only Smart.TV, but also tablets and smartphones can be actually used to watch daily updated collection of videos in HD quality without any limitations (+100 new Hollywood and European movies every day)”.

We shall recall that the Mediasat previously reported on the agreement signed between the company “Kyivstar” and the online cinema Megogo.
