It became known why “kvartalmen” decided not to run the project with Film.ua.

Kvartal 95 Studio and “1+1 Media” announced the creation of a joint satellite TV channel “Kvartal TV”. As stated on the website of the media holding, its broadcasting starts in August this year.

The programming of the TV channel “Kvartal TV” will be mainly based on projects, shows, series and movies produced by the studio, i.e. “Evening Kvartal”, “Baking News”, “Evening Kyiv”, “Crack Them Up”, “Humour Cup”, “The In-Laws”, “The Servant of Nation” and many others. It is also planned to broadcast content acquired abroad. The channel will broadcast in Full HD for 24 hours in the networks of pay-TV operators.

Vladimir Zelensky, Art Director at Kvartal 95 Studio, points out that the studio’s library comprises over a thousand hours of own content to be presented on the new channel. He also expresses confidence in the success of that new project, and looks forward to the Ukrainians’ opting soon for a quality video without advertising due to adopting the best international pay-TV practices.

Let us recall that initially the LLC “Spravzhnі Kanaly” (True Channels) owned by Film.ua received two satellite licenses for TV channels FILMUADrama and FILMUAction. In December 2015, it became known that Kvartal 95 Studio bought out a 50% share in the TV Company and announced the launch of its pay-TV channel. However recently, Film.ua has introduced some changes in the channels’ license, excluding kvartalmen Vladimir Zelensky and the Shefir brothers from the list of owners.
