The Viacom International Media Networks and NTV-Plus announced the expansion of their cooperation.

NTV-PLUS and the media holding Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) signed an agreement, under which the Paramount Channel, a TV channel broadcasting Hollywood movies, was added to the Basic package (Zapad) of the satellite operator. This is stated in the Broadcaster’s press release, a copy of which is available to Mediasat.

Due to incorporation of the Paramount Channel, the NTV Plus’ subscribers get available all the VIMN channels represented in Russia.

In the Basic package (Zapad) and thematic packages, the NTV-PLUS subscribers can watch popular content of the following TV channels within the VIMN portfolio: entertainment TV channels like Paramount Comedy and Paramount Channel, children’s TV channels like Nickelodeon, Nickelodeon HD, Nick Jr., as well as music TV channels like MTV, MTV Dance, MTV Rocks, MTV Live HD, MTV Hits, VH1 European and VH1 Classic.

NTV-PLUS is the second satellite operator to broadcast the Paramount Channel in Russia. Now, more than 3 million TV viewers of NTV-PLUS all over Russia will get a 24-hour access to the best blockbusters of recent decades and classic movies made by one of the oldest Hollywood studios Paramount Pictures (owned by Viacom Inc., the parent company of VIMN).

Along with the masterpieces of Steven Spielberg, Roman Polanski, Martin Scorsese and other film directors, the channel provides cinema fans with educational “films about films”, showing the behind-the-scenes of the legendary movies. The Channels’ content is adapted to show it to the Russian audience, in accordance with the localization policy of VIMN channels.
