The telecommunications operator life 🙂 has launched fourth generation network – LTE (4G) in Minsk. This was reported by Mediasat operator’s press service.
According to Dina Tsybulska, the general director of Belarusian Telecommunications Network company (that controls the brand life 🙂 ), currently the network is deployed in Minsk only, but over time the company will expand the coverage geography.
In September the network will be commissioned for the commercial operation. Prior to this – within one month – all the operator’gs subscribers can use 4G-internet for free. It’s enough to have a life 🙂 SIM-card and a mobile device that supports LTE-technology.
Internet network access speed promised by the operator life 🙂 will be up to 112 Mbit / sec.
A number of Belarusian mass media noted that after announcement about 4G network launch the official website of the operator works with faults because it is unable to stand the influx of users.
The first LTE-communication network in the capital of Belarus was launched by MTS in December 2015. According to the Ministry of Communications and Informatization of the Republic of Belarus, LTE will appear in all regional centers of the country before the end of this year.
