About 16 million subscribers use 3G-networks in Ukraine

More than 40 % of Ukrainian population is covered by 3G networks.
Total number of third generation mobile communications users (3G) in Ukraine is about 16 million subscribers. This was written in RBC-Ukraine online version.
At the moment, Vodafone Ukraine telecommunications operator is the leader by the number of subscribers base – the company serves 7 million of 3G-subscribers. Then Kyivstar company goes, it provides 3G-services for 6 million users. Lifecell telecommunications provider takes the third place – the company has 2.7 million of 3G-subscribers.
Trimob company (Ukrtelecom operator’s subsidiary company) provides its services to 500 thousand of 3G-communication subscribers. This year Trimob operator can be acquired by Vodafone Ukraine.
According to the operators, today 3G-network coverage is as follows:
· Kyivstar – 48 % of the population;
· Vodafone Ukraine – 42 % of the population;
· lifecell – 41 % of the population Ukraine.
