The number of 4G smartphones in the Vodafone Ukraine’s network increased twice

The share of LTE smartphones in the Vodafone’s network is growing steadily.

Vodafone Ukraine has documented the appearance of 4G-smartphones in its network in the amount of 8.4 % after the monitoring. Over the past year, the number of smartphones in the population has increased by almost two and a half times.

Vodafone analysts contend that this growth rate will steadily continue for at least two years. And from this it follows that by 2018, when they promise to launch 4G network, 20 % of Vodafone subscribers will have LTE-smartphones.

Currently, there are about 5.6 models of devices in the world with 4G support, and the most of them are the devices working in 1800 MHz range. There are about 3 million such devices, over 50 % of the total amount of running now ones.

Today, Vodafone network offers 4G-services to 53 million subscribers in 22 countries. In addition, about 26 million people in 18 countries use the services based on 4G +.
