Today in Ukraine they want to start experiments with a test launch of a new generation communications.
This was reported by Slovo i Delo.
As it became known, discussions about the trial launches of 5G network were held in administration of the Ukrainian President. Dmitry Shimkiv, the deputy head of the Administration of President on administrative, economic and social reforms, confirmed information on the possible test launch of a new generation network.
“We are currently discussing how to begin experiments with 5G in Ukraine right today. There is a clear understanding how to do it” – said the politician.
Shimkiv noted that a full launch of 5G can not be done, since either the equipment or the communication standards or devices supporting a new network are not present yet. However, as the officials say, it is technically possible to carry out a test launch of 5G communications if the market players will take the active initiative.
“Our position is very clear – the open market” – said Shimkiv.
As it is knows, on September, 1 the Verkhovna Rada approved the rights of operators to run 4G network.
