The project was launched jointly by the Institute for Media and the German office of the international organization “Reporters without Borders”.

This was reported by IMI representatives.

The project entitled “Monitoring of media property in Ukraine” already has had a website in English and Russian with the database on the TV, the Internet, radio and the press, including the specifics – media companies, their owners and representatives.

Oksana Romaniuk, the executive director of IMI, told the project was put into operation to ensure maximum financial transparency of media property, and she added that the law on this issue should be adopted.

Olaf Shteyenfadt, the director of this new project, stated that transparency helps to understand and hear how different media are communicating with the consumer.

“Tell me about situation with your media, and I will tell in what country you live” – Shteyenfadt noted.
