The platform has actually available more than ten HDR movies, but MEGOGO promises to expand the library.

The MEGOGO Company started a service within its video platform, offering subscribers to watch HDR content. The access to movies in the HDR format was granted to subscribers in Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan and the Baltic countries.

The quality of HDR movies can be checked out by LG Smart TV-set holders in the MEGOGO’s app on LG Super UHD and LG OLED TV models.

“We have implemented the HDR technology in our TV-sets, designed to broaden the audience experience of our customers. But in order to feel its importance, there should be available relevant content in each country. Now this issue is addressed including in Ukraine”, as stated by Mr. Chang Kwang Joong, CEO at LG Electronics Ukraine.

HDR movies are available under subscription to “Cinema and TV”, offered by MEGOGO on a transactional model.

For the time being, the HDR library contains, among others, such movies as “The Flight Crew”, “The Pure Art”, “The Youth”, “The Criminal”, “The Gods of Egypt”, “The Voices of a Large Country”, “The Champions: Faster. Higher. Stronger”, “Mafia: The Game of Survival” and “The Hateful Eight”.

Let us recall that this week the HDR video support was also announced by YouTube.

More details about the HDR technology are featured in the article “HDR TV: The Future of the Television Industry”.
