The Far East holds broadcasting tender, with “NTV-Plus”’s leading, as the RBC reports.

The satellite broadcasting tender was announced by the “Roskomnadzor”.

More specifically, it was announced both broadcasting via the vehicle “Express AT1”, and the satellite “Express-2”, which broadcast in different regions of Russia. The first tender will keep a budget of RUB 27.2 million. The second one will be next smaller, i.e RUB 9.45 million.

“This is the second tender for satellite broadcasting in Russia. In the summer of 2014, the Roskomnadzor set for a tender the broadcasting via the satellite ABS2, which covers the whole territory of Russia, except the Arctic. The winner was the company “Digital TV Broadcasting” (DTV), being then a “subsidiary” of AFK “System”. But in fact, the services are provided by MTS (also subordinated to the “System”). The MTS itself was not able to take part in that tender, as it did not have any broadcasting license”, as the “NTV-Plus” stated.

Mikhail Demin, Director General at “NTV-Plus”, confirmed RBC that the company intended to participate in the tender, but without specifying details. Earlier, the RBC’s source close to the company informed that it was about to entry into the market of the Far East. Another RBC’s source close to the Roskomnadzor, reported that the “NTV-Plus” Company was also interested in the tender for broadcasting all over Russia. The representative of the NSK (Novosibirsk Television) insisted that “the company had sufficient satellite capacities to implement actual and sheduled projects”. For the time being, the operator has not applied for tendering.
