January 20 at 10:00, the satellite signal of the TV channel Kvartal TV will be encoded. This is stated in the official letter of the Network Development and Broadcasting Support Department of the 1+1 Media Group, sent to the service providers (a copy of this letter is available to the Mediasat).

The encoding will be ensured by the conditional access system Verimatrix. For decoding, there will be applied Verimatrix CAM Module, which is compatible with domestic and professional satellite receivers with CI/CI+ interfaces.

“For the time being, the engineering experts have detected one model of satellite receivers, which does not work with Verimatrix CAM Module, and this receiver is Scopus 2600”, as the statement remarks.

Providers that signed an agreement to broadcast Kvartal TV are granted with a decoding device like CAM Module under the Transfer and Acceptance Act to the License Agreement.

“For provider’ checking correct operation of the signal decoding equipment on transponder B3 (in the same package with the TV channel Kvartal TV), it was run a temporary test service “TEST”, encoded by the conditional access system Verimatrix. It will run until 20 January”, as added by the experts of the Network Development and Broadcasting Support Department of the 1+1 Media Group.

Broadcasting parameters of the TV channel Kvartal TV:
Satellite Astra-4A (4,8°E)
Frequency – 11176 MHz, polarization – horizontal, symbol rate – 27500 Mbit/sec, FEC – 3/4, DVB – S/QPSK

Let us recall that Kvartal TV along with other channels of the 1+1 Media Group started migrating from the satellite Amos-2 (4°W), the service life of which is about to expire and to be replaced with Amos-7, to the space vehicle Astra-4A, owned by the Luxembourg satellite operator SES.
