Oleksandr Tkachenko, who holds office as the CEO of 1+1 Media Holding, became the main private shareholder of the Odessa Film Studio.

The Director of PJSC “Odessa Film Studio” Andrei Zverev resigned, filing a “resignation letter”. This was reported by the Dumskaya edition, referring to Mr. Zverev’s press officer Olga Shcherbakova.

Mr. Zverev chaired the studio in June 2012. One of its priorities, considered by the new chair, was to come to own production, what, in fact, he managed to do in February 2015.

However, on January 10 of present year, he delegated his powers to the Acting Chairman of the Board of the Private Joint-Stock Company “Odessa Film Studio” Andrei Osipov (lawyer, native of Lutsk).

In his decision to resign as Director, Mr. Zverev refers to family reasons, which make him to stay in Kyiv. Moreover, the composition of the company’s shareholders has changed.

“The structure of the shareholders of PJSC “Odessa Film Studio” has changed: the main private shareholder became Oleksandr Tkachenko (CEO at 1+1 Media), and the studio will be run by his team”, as Mr. Zverev’s press officer says.

For Oleksandr Tkachenko, this is the second coming to the Odessa Film Studio. He chaired it until 2008. In addition, he has been a member of the Supervisory Board of PJSC by this day.

Half of the Studio’s stocks (50%+1) are owned by the Government (represented by the State Property Fund), and the rest ones remain in the ownership of LLC “New Film Studio”. The latter, in turn, is owned by two legal entities like the Ukrainian LLC “Cinematography Development Fund” (77.5%) and the Cyprus “Tralion Commercial Limited” (22.5%).

Last autumn, the Odessa Film Studio inaugurated its own channel on YouTube, offering to view all the movies produced by the studio for 98 years.
