“NTV-PLUS” Goes to the Far East

The satellite television  “NTV Plus” Company will become available to the Far East residents. The decision was taken by company’s management and approved by the Board of Directors, as stated in the press release.

The provision of “NTV-PLUS”’ services in the Far Eastern Federal District will start in April 2017. Thus, from this point “NTV-PLUS” becomes a federal operator, covering 100% of the territory of the Russian Federation.

The broadcasts will be carried out via the satellite “Express-AT2”, located in the orbital slot of 140 degrees east longitude. This satellite’s signal covers the entire territory of the Far Eastern Federal District, including Kamchatka, Chukotka, Sakhalin and the Kuril Islands.

“NTV-Plus” also obtained an authorization to rent additional satellite capacities of the space vehicle “Express-AT1” (56°E). Another three transponders will allow the company to expand its content offer in Siberia.

“NTV-PLUS stakes on high-quality content, high-quality service and the most advanced technological platform. Siberia and the Far East are promising regions. With the penetration rate of satellite TV in the region up to 60%, this technological and geographical expansion is fully consistent with the strategic visions of the company”, as stated by Mikhail Demin, CEO at “NTV-PLUS”.
