The satellite signal of the state-owned TV channel for international broadcasting UA TV is now available to receive from the space vehicle Eutelsat Hot Bird. This was announced by the State Secretary of the Ministry of Information Policy Artem Bidenko on his Facebook profile.

February 1, UA TV started broadcasting via the satellite Eutelsat Hot Bird 13C (13°E). The channel’s signal is distributed by means of the advanced standard DVB-S2 and the compression format MPEG-4.

Let us recall that the plans of UA TV’s moving from the satellite Amos-2 (4°W) to the Eutelsat Hot Bird (13°E) became known as early as in November 2016. At that time, the representatives of the “Multimedia platform of Ukraine’s international broadcasting” explained to the Mediasat’s reporter that such a migration would allow expanding channel’s presence in the European pay-TV networks.

UA TV will also keep on broadcasting via the satellites Azerspace-1 (46°E, Central Asia) and Galaxy 19 (97°W, North America). In this way, it is available in the cable networks of Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Estonia, Israel, Canada, Germany, Latvia, Moldova, Poland and the United States.

Eutelsat Hot Bird 13C is a telecom satellite, located at the orbital slot of 13 degrees east longitude, along with two “brothers” like Hot Bird 13B and Hot Bird 13E. It is owned by the global satellite operator Eutelsat.
