The company Ookla, basing on its own Speedtest service’s data, allowing to carry out and analyze broadband connection, has published a study “Ukraine’ Fastest Mobile Networks 2016”.
The results of this study evidence that the highest data rate among Ukrainian mobile operators belongs to lifecell. The company ranked first, demonstrating the following result: the download rate was 7.74 Mbps, and the transmission rate was 2.42 Mbps.
The second place in the rating went to the company “Kyivstar” with 7.13 Mbps and 2.41 Mbps, respectively.
The third place went to “Vodafone Ukraine”. Its download rate was 6.79 Mbps and the transmission rate was recorded at 2.38 Mbps.
Ookla prepares ratings according to its own methodology. In general, Ookla conducted a global survey of more than 1,500 cellular operators, which covered the results of a hundred billion tests.
The Speedtest service is enjoyed by about nine million people a day, who want to check their Internet connectivity. The company Ookla also owns the service Pingtest.net, a free analyzer of broadband connection quality, completing the Speedtest service.
