The mobile operator lifecell will provide “Ukrzaliznytsia” (Ukrainian Railways) with 15 thousand start packages totalling almost UAH 3.7 million.
Lifecell signed a contract with PJSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” to provide voice, Internet and M2M services. The agreement is valid for one year. This is stated in the telecom operator’s official press release.
Lifecell is the smallest of the Big Three mobile operators in Ukraine. However, this fact did not prevent it from winning the tender, which was held by the Ukrzaliznytsia on the ProZorro platform.
“To the tender for each of the two lots, the company lifecell came with a price offer almost half as much as the expected cost of services, and during the auction it further reduced the price for the second lot. As a result, lifecell will provide Ukrzaliznytsia with 8.498 thousand packages of mobile communication for UAH 3.1 million in terms of the first lot, and 6.513 thousand packages of mobile communication for UAH 550 thousand in terms of the second lot”, as the press release states.
Let us recall that for the recent five years, the corporate cellular communication services were provided to the largest Ukrainian carrier by the telecom operator “Kyivstar”. Thus, after so many years, “Kyivstar” lost its status of the company that provides communication services to the Ukrzaliznytsia’s staff. The company Lifecell now becomes a sole provider.
