The package of non-terrestrial channels “Digital Television”, owned by the VGTRK and “Rostelecom”, will be completed with a TV channel about medicine. Its operating name is “Doctor”, as the RNS informs.
July 1, Russia is looking forward to launching a new thematic channel, dedicated to the healthcare industry. It is known that the editor-in-chief of the new TV channel will be Evelina Zakamskaya, who currently holds the position of journalist at “Russia 24”.
Dmitry Mednikov, Deputy CEO at VGTRK, confirmed the information about setting up a medical TV channel, and specified that the operating name of the new project was “Doctor”. He also added that the channel would be available in the packages of the major pay-TV operators. In this regard, there were already concluded and signed broadcasting contracts and agreements.
The content production for the “Doctor” will be the responsibility of the team of the “TV Channel 360”, which is also incorporated into the “Digital Television” family.
Let us recall that on February 1, as a result of restarting the TV channel “Entertainment Park”, a new TV channel “Cinéma” started its operation in the Russian market, expanding the thematic diversity of film channels within the “Digital Television” family.
The “Digital Television” incorporates 19 TV channels of different genres under a single brand, like the educational, entertaining, children’s, as well as film and TV series ones.
