Small new media device Openbox A5 Mini Openbox A5 Mini was presented in the Ukrainian technology market.
The sales of a new Android-based TV set-top box Openbox A5 Mini started in Ukraine. It can be classified by similarity with set-top boxes MAG, but completed with all the features of the Android OS.
This set-top box is equipped with advanced and powerful processor Hisilicon Hi3798MV100 (4 cores), built-in Wi-Fi module, MicroSD memory card slot, two USB connectors, SPDI/F optical digital audio output, Ethernet network port, HDMI digital output and analog video and audio output sort of A/V OUT.
The Openbox A5 Mini has an output resolution of up to 3840x2160p (4K) 30fps, it supports the new broadcasting format H.265 ( HEVC ), as well as works with 3G networks (when connecting USB adapters).
“The Android operating system was importantly modified and optimized in the Openbox A5 Mini just for comfortable operation as a set-top box. At the same time, all the Android features are preserved, and these are working with Excel and Word documents, e-mail, Skype, thousands of various games supporting game controllers (FlyMouse, Game Pad), fast and stable work of Kodi Entertainment Center (XBMC), as well as an unlimited number of VoD, IPTV and OTT services”, as stated to the Mediasat by the Openbox Brand’s press office.
In addition to working with Internet services, the set-top box is also capable of full-fledged reception of digital terrestrial TV broadcasts in the DVB-T/T2 standard.
