The TV channel “Big Asia” with the content focused on the Russian-Asian cooperation started broadcasting via the satellite ABS-2 (75° E).
On July 12, the ABS-2 satellite started transmitting signal of the new television channel “Big Asia” . Its broadcasting schedule is compiled by TV magazines telling about culture, science, traditions, economics, politics, history, sports, religion, nature and culinary features of Asia.
In addition, the channel’s audience can watch daily news blocks, interviews, weather forecasts, special projects, documentaries and feature films, produced by Asian countries.
The broadcasts are run unencrypted in Russian 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The signal format is MPEG-4.
