Sensorama Lab and the Ukrainian company Digital Screens, managing video service OLL.TV, have released a special mobile application OLL.TV Football VR.
This app allows users to watch the football highlights in the Virtual Reality format, i.e. the Champions League and the UEFA Europa League, the championships of Ukraine, England and Spain, qualifiers for the 2018 World Cup.
In the future, developers promise to release an app that would allow watching live football broadcasts in the virtual reality format.
For the time being, the app is compatible with Android-based devices. Viewing also requires a VR Google Cardboard Headset.
Alexey Kurakin, Business Development Director at Media Group Ukraine, shared with the Mediasat that in the near future OLL.TV Football VR would also be available to owners of devices running the iOS operating system. The company’s plans provide for an app output to the Oculus Rift VR glasses.
