TV Channel “Donechchyna TV” Starts Satellite Broadcasting

On January 22, a month after obtaining satellite broadcasting license, the channel “Donechchyna TV”(DTV) started its operation on the satellite Amos-7 (4°W).

The new TV channel’s broadcast schedule mainly consists of analytical newscasts and journalistic stories, as well as live broadcasts. The audience can also watch feature and documentary films.

Let us recall that on 21 December 2017, the National Broadcasting Council issued a satellite broadcasting license to the Regional TV and Radio Broadcaster “Region-Donbass”, Kramatorsk, Donetsk Region (logo: “Donechchyna TV, DTV”). The broadcasting format is DVB-S/MPEG-2. The validity of license is 10 years.

According to the license, the channel broadcasts 27/7. 10 hours of its broadcasting time (or 41.7%) is the content of own production.

The creation and launch of this TV channel is a personal effort of Pavlo Zhebrivskyi, Chairman of the Donetsk Regional Civil-Military Administration.

Let us remark that “Donechchyna TV” was not the first TV channel of Donbass origin to start satellite broadcasting. In April of last year, the holders of satellite systems we offered an opportunity to receive broadcasts of the Donetsk regional TV channel “Do TeBe”
