Ukrainian mobile service operators will launch a mobile 4G Internet in March or early April.

The three largest Ukrainian mobile operators won the tender, held in Kiev, for licenses to provide telecom services in the 4G standard, as the public news agency “Ukrinform” reports.

The companies Kyivstar, Vodafone Ukraine and Lifecell will transfer to the state budget of Ukraine a total of some 89 million dollars for the right to provide the above services.

According to the Ukrainian mass media, at the first stage, this service will be launched in the five largest cities of Ukraine, namely Kyiv, Kharkiv, Lviv, Odesa and Dnipro.

Over the next four years, the access to 4G networks will be provided in all Ukrainian cities accounting for more than 10 thousand residents.
