Russia Launches More.TV, a Single Online Video Content Distribution Platform

The holding companies National Media Group and CTC Media set up a single online platform for distributing video content.

The new service’s launch is scheduled for early 2019. For the time being, the new company has been actively recruiting engineering and production staff.

The new resource More.TV will become a virtual operator of TV and VOD content, offering streaming of TV channels, as well as watching the most popular Russian and foreign content, both for free applying the advertising model (AVOD) and under a paid subscription (SVOD).

The main More.TV’s advantage will be exclusive Russian and foreign content in any environment like the website, mobile apps, Smart TV and set-top boxes. Users will get a universal access to all platforms. Streaming of TV channels will be carried out through the software solution “VITRINA TV”.

The model of  More.TV’s operation will provide an option of integration into set-top boxes of top TV operators, as well as into OTT solutions of mobile operators.
