Ukraine Launches Cutting off Analog T
On July 31, the analog broadcasting was cut off in Kyiv and the Kirovograd Region.
The full transition to the digital signal was regularly rescheduled, causing numerous discussions and debates. The market players were not sure to the last that the cut-off would meet the declared deadline imposed by the Cabinet of Ministers’ Resolution No. 509 dated 13 June 2018.
The above document amended Ukraine’s Radio Frequency Resource Use Plan in terms of the time limit for using analog television technology.
Therefore, on 31 July 2018, the analog TV broadcasting is switched off in Kyiv and the Kirovograd Region, and on 31 August 2018 nationwide.
