According to the Russian News Agency TASS, next week the leader of the Khrunichev Space Center has promised to submit proposals for the new schedule of the “Proton-M” rocket launches to Roscosmos.

On June 24 the Head of the Center, Andrey Kalinovskiy declared that he would submit proposals for the new schedule of the “Proton-M” rocket launches to Roscosmos the following week during press-conference.  He added that all scheduled measures to eliminate the rockets’ faults that caused the crash in May had been approved by the Russian Ministry of Defense and Roscosmos.

Earlier, Kalinovskiy informed journalists that remediation work was carried out and the launch schedules could be expected to appear after the completion of these measures. At the same time the list of spacecrafts being prepared for launch had to be made.

Kalinovskiy emphasized that the inter-agency commission’s decision about fault elimination concerned all “Proton” rockets, in particular those located at Baikonur (the cosmodrome in Kazakhstan) and at the manufacturing plant. At the moment, Kalinovskiy said, some of engines were being developed.

On May 16 this year «Proton-M» had not launched to orbit Mexican satellite. Roscosmos specified a design fault  as the cause of what was happened, the same cause the launch failed in 1988.

The general designer responsible for fault in the missile`s component was removed from office.

A court action has been brought against him.
