The project originator is the state-owned enterprise “Russian Satellite Communications Company”, which soon plans to agree upon financing, as the TASS informs.
Information about it came directly from Nikolay Testoyedov, CEO at ISS Reshetnev Company. The company is a manufacturer of these vehicles.
It is reported that once the project financing agreement is reached, the satellite construction will start immediately.
“The construction of satellites will begin as soon as our customer the State Enterprise “Russian Satellite Communications” settles the project financing issue. We are looking forward to receiving these funds in the first quarter of next year”, as Mr. Testoyedov said.
It is known that the “Information Satellite Systems – Reshetnev Company” earlier won the tender for constructing satellites “Express-103” and “Express-80” for the “Russian Satellite Communications Company”. The contract value was RUB 15.5 billion.
