On Tuesday, March 10 the channel Ukraina started broadcasting in a wide-screen format 16:9 within the nationwide network of T2 digital television, as well as within the packages of VOLIA cable operator and on OLL.TV video platform. It is featured in a press-release, a copy of which is available for Mediasat editorial office.

In the updated format the channel can be watched by subscribers of these digital networks all over Ukraine. The TV audience can watch shows, news, soccer transmissions and other channel’s programs in that new format. The modern TV sets have a 16:9 ratio as well, so it will allow their holders to make a full-valued use of wide-screen format’s advantages.

The digital TV operators transmit the parameters to the receiving devices of their networks’s subscribers. Thus, the most of TV sets will be retuned automatically to a new broadcasting format. If it doesn’t happen, so for a correct display in a new format the viewers need to make sure the settings of their receiving device y/ or TV set are correct.

The next stage of the channel Ukraina’s transiting to a 16:9 format will concern the subscribers of satellite platforms and the ones of other cable providers.

We shall recall that other channels within Media Group Ukraine like specialized channels Football 1 /Football 2, NLO TV young audience channel and Indigo TV niche channel, has been already broadcasting in a 16:9 format.
