Belarus is switching off analogue

The management of the department of television, telecommunication and broadcasting of Ministry of communications and Informatization of Belarus declares that the analogue TV signal will be completely switched off by May, 15, “Naviny.by” reports.
The last to be switched off are 10 transmitters in Braslaw, Mozyr, Kolodishchi, Starye Dorogy,and Stolin. Now digital signal covers 98% of Belarus
As “Belarusian broadcasting center” notes the last analogue transmitters will be disabled until January, 1, 2016, because they do not create interference to neighboring countries, what is not a violation of the Geneva agreements.
