The authorities of Kyrgyzstan do not yet know when the analog TV will be cut off, as Kloop.kg informs.
According to the terms of Geneva 2006 Agreement, the analogue TV signal in the country should be turned off this summer, i.e. in June. But the Government of Kyrgyzstan has its own plans in this respect. So, it is planned to ensure covering just only 80% of the country with a digital broadcast TV signal by October of this year.
The Ministry of Transport and Communications points out that the implementation of the digital will be carried out gradually and without rushing the analogue’s cut-off.
The State Communications Agency of Kyrgyzstan promises that the transition to the digital for the country’s residents will be also step-by-step, as the television should be accessible to all.
