The Estonian largest cable operator Starman bought a small Lithuanian company Kava, which was not the first operator’s purchase in Lithuania, as The Baltic Course reports.
Apart from that small firm, Starman also acquired Cgates (cable TV operator in Lithuania) last year.

The Kava Company, providing web access and pay-TV services, accounts for near 20,000 subscribers. However, for the Estonian company, the interest lies elsewhere. Kava owns fiber optic network in Vilnius, Klaipeda and in dozens more towns.
The Chairman of «Starman» stated that the ground composed of various foreign firms was an excellent opportunity for a large operator to create a powerful telecommunications corporation, which would cover all the Baltic countries.
