Last Friday, Vladimir Solntsev, the President of RSC Energia, and Yuri Prokhorov, the CEO of the Russian Satellite Communications Company (RSCC), entered into an agreement on joining their resources in developing satellite communications technologies.
The senior executives hope that this agreement will bring great benefit for the development of such systems.
Vladimir Solntsev, the President of RSC Energia, is sure that the signed agreement will accelerate the implementation of advanced satellite technologies, ensuring a speedy progress of Russian satellite communications and broadcasting systems.
Yuri Prokhorov, the CEO of RSCC, pointes out that the agreement will assist in implementing successfully the program of making-up the Russian orbital constellation of satellites by 2025.
The companies’ joint operation has the following plans:
• to design specifications for satellite communications and broadcasting means;
• to evaluate the compliance with requirements for satellites;
• to work out suggestions on using launch vehicles designed for satellite launches.
